Modesto Certified Farmers Market

About the Modesto Certified Farmers Market
The Modesto Certified Farmers Market was started in 1979, so its been around for awhile. Located centrally downtown Modesto on 16th and stretches across 2 blocks (H and I). With it being centrally located you can also hit anything else Downtown Modesto offers. It boasts many different vendors from organic options to food stalls and live music. It is also a certified farmers market meaning it went through the application process of becoming certified. Read about that process in our blog. It is a year round market with a short break USUALLY around Thanksgiving and Christmas. During the colder months instead of being on Thursdays and Saturdays it is just on Saturdays. If you want more bullet point information check below for a calendar of events, the frescos and more! Oh, did we mention its right next to the beautiful Modesto library. If you visit the market you should check that out as well. Between all of the above mentioned, they have weekly events like live cooking demos where they will cook a dish with ingredients sourced from the market. The Modesto Certified Farmers Market is one of our favorites and a great market near you if you live in the area. Come check it out!
